Watershed

Watershed

It’s a packed theatre tonight & delicious platters are on the tables for guests who have pre-ordered with their booking. Craig Hinds is the front man of the internationally acclaimed band Watershed, celebrating their 24th year in the music industry. Joining him on stage tonight is guitarist Gideon Brits, as he alternates between the keyboard & his acoustic guitar. Craig says it’s good to be back again & opens with ‘OK’ followed by another hit ‘Close my eyes’. ‘Letters’, ‘The more it hurts the more it works’, ‘Yesterday’ & ‘Wrong line’ are all showcasing these seasoned musicians’ talents. ‘Hallelujah’ gets the crowd singing along spontaneously. Craig then shares a brand new song ‘This Town’ as well the fact that they have big plans for next year, which will mark Watershed’s 25th birthday. The hit ‘Indigo Girl’ is followed by ‘Watch the rain’ & ‘Empty space’ (which also did well on radio hit lists). The only two cover songs Craig includes in his set list are John Legend’s ‘All of me’ & Adele’s ‘Someone like you’. ‘Watch the rain’, ‘Wrong line’, ‘Leave tomorrow behind’ & ‘Famous & lonely’ are all firm favourites with the audience. Craig sincerely thanks the audience, “the flippin’ cool venue” & ends the evening with another rendition of ‘Indigo Girl’. Thank you to Renault Menlyn for their continued support. Please follow them as well as the artists & venue on all social media platforms.
